Rubicon is the latest series premiering on AMC, following the success of Mad Men and breaking Bad. It is the story of an intelligence analyst who finds himself in the midst of a conspiracy theory, this takes place in New York.

Count me in times a million for this. Beyond hoping that this is a good show, though, I’m hoping Rubicon can usher in a new era of politics shows because I am the biggest sucker ever for entertainment related to government: West Wing, Spin City, but also The State Within, even Parks and Recreation. My favorite parts of 24 are the parts about subverting entrenched governmental structures and untangling the messy web of politics,

AMC taps into our collective paranoia with its compelling new conspiracy series, Rubicon. Will Travers is an intelligence analyst who cracks codes for a living. When Will’s world is shattered by an untimely death he begins asking questions, diving into a web of mystery and danger. Not every conspiracy is a theory.
