When most of the star wives prefer their husband's surname, Kiran Rao prefers hers just the way it is!
Malaika Arora Khan, Gauri Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan... and then Kiran Rao. Aamir Khan's better half and the maker of Dhobi Ghat is different. Kiran's uniqueness does not limit to her cool n comfy sense of dressing but also in her way of thinking.
The filmmaker speaks her mind and has no qualms in saying it like it is. Just few days back we asked her as to what's keeping her from adding 'Khan' to her name ,as lately most wives prefer it that way.
Kiran candidly replied, " Kiran Rao Khan would sound very stylish I am sure. When you grow up, you hear your name and wish you had a superb name too. Kiran Rao is simple but I have never understood how people can change their names. I am comfortable being who I am and so is Aamir. He shares my point of view and understands me really well."
Now that's why we appreciate this woman.
