Plot:
A psychological thriller centered around a black-ops interrogator and an FBI agent who press a suspect terrorist into divulging the location of three nuclear weapons sets to detonate in the U.S.

"Unthinkable" - Synopsis
A Muslim extremist places three separate nuclear bombs in mystery locations around America. With our country's entire counter-terrorism force rushing to action, the culprit is soon apprehended, but the whereabouts of his bombs remain unknown. Heading up the investigation -- or so she thinks -- is FBI agent Helen Brody, an expert in her field, who has only two days to find the bombs but who, unfortunately, is not making much progress. Then, Brody is forced to work alongside a freelance interrogator, known only as "H," whose brutal methods are diametrically opposed to hers. "H" crosses lines that no one else will, but since he gets results, he has the full support of the government. With the clock ticking, and the moral compass constantly shifting, Brody -- and the audience -- must question their most basic assumptions about fear and paranoia, about strength and cruelty, and about right and wrong.

Movie Reviews:
Watched it last night and was really impressed. This is the sort of film that gets you thinking about your own moral grounds... how far would you have gone in order to save 1000s of lives. The story is simple, realistic and very current which makes it really efficient. I do believe this sort of threat by a single/small independent group of terrorists getting hold of a dirty bomb is the one we should all be loosing sleep over.

It does require a fairly strong stomach and will get some people uneasy with some of the torture scenes but this is exactly the purpose of the film.

The acting by the lead roles is superb - both Jackson and Moss are playing at the top of their game. While the storyline is not likely to be politically popular and therefore I will be surprised if we'll see many awards headed up this film's way. Still, hats off for memorable roles for both of them.

I don't think that everybody can watch this film, I doubt my wife could sit through all of it without some serious cringing. The subject of the film however is important enough to suggest that anyone who can tolerate strong violence on the screen should make time to watch the film. While enjoyable it probably not a good word to describe this film, it is surely memorable and impressive.

LE CHAKKA will be a challenge for DEV to break his image. It will give him better recognition as an actor.

Republic of Ireland's U21 side get their 2011 European Championship qualifying campaign underway against Turkey.

Recent results suggest Don Givens' side should enter the crunch midweek clash in confident mood.
The Irish youngsters are unbeaten in their last four games, picking up credible draws with Portugal and Germany and securing a shock 2-1 success over Spain on Friday.
Givens believes that impressive run of form has ensured that his team prepare to host a tough Turkish outfit holding no fear.
"We had a very good performance against Spain" he told the Football Association of Ireland's official website.
"Whenever you score a win against the top nations you must enjoy it and after playing Portugal and Germany as well in that run, these lads are eager to play Turkey."
He added: "Turkey are invariably very strong at this level but we have studied videos of their team and they are very similar to the Spanish team we beat in Waterford.
"They are not a very big team but they are technically very good as you always expect them to be, they are quick and nippy in their play.
"Our players showed they could cope with opponents like this when they played Spain and we are looking for them to cope just as well against Turkey and secure a good result to get us under way."

Highly-rated Hamilton starlet James McCarthy has joined the squad after shaking off an injury which ruled him out on Friday.
Meanwhile, Shamrock Rovers' Ian Bermingham has been called up to provide cover for Seamus Coleman and Michael Liddle who have been forced to withdraw.
Givens, though, is confident that the enforced changes will not prove detrimental to his side's hopes.
"This is one of the benefits of our good preparation," he said.
"We have been able to widen the selection so now we have plenty of cover and players available who are well capable of doing a job when they are called in.
"In many instances it is a toss of a coin which players are first choice."

The set includes several shots of the Miami rapper crying, some self-portraits of Trina’s on and off beau Kenyon Martin, and various close-up shots of her arms sporting what appears to be an allergic reaction or nasty rash of some sort.

Air India strike continues; cancels 76 flights

New Delhi, May 26: The strike by Air Inida continues on May 26 and Air India has cancelled 76 domestic and international flights scheduled on the network. A section of Air India staff, containing more than 20,000 employees, go on strike as a protest against the management's gag order.


"We have cancelled a total of 76 flights scheduled to be operated on domestic as well as international sectors including 24 flights from Delhi, 37 from Mumbai, 6 from Kolkata, 7 from Chennai and 2 from Bangalore on May 26," informed an official from AI.


The striking staff includes engineers and cabin crew. Airline has decided to cancel the flights after analysing the situation of the availability of executive engineers. Flights cannot be operated till they get the approval from aircraft engineers. Air India decided to cancel the flights as the number of engineers on duty will be less on May 26.

The flights cancelled from Delhi on May 26 include: IC 134 to Mumbai via Bhopal-Indore, IC 409 and IC 415 to Patna, IC 411 and IC 811 to Lucknow, IC 413 and IC 813 to Kathmandu, IC 445 to Ludhiana, IC 471 to Mumbai via Jodhpur-Udaipur.

AI 480 to Singapore, AI 638 to Amritsar, AI 747 and IC 895 to Dubai, IC 817 and IC 861 to Ahmedabad, IC 821 to Jammu-Srinagar, AI 841 to Abu Dhabi, IC 849 to Pune, AI 853 to Bangkok, IC 864 to Chandigarh, IC 869 to Raipur-Nagpur, IC 885 to Muscut, IC 889 to Guawahati-Imphal and IC 896 to Jaipur.

Synopsis :
Fast food despatch boys Aiman (Nabil), Belon (Shah R) & Joe (Ngasrizal Ngasri) live in the hustle-bustle of the capital and are involves in all the trappings of urban youth. Their lives turn upside down when they fall into debt with Ah Longs. Romance is also on the cards - Aiman falls for Dayana (Diana Danielle), a girl whose boyfriend is an Ecstasy pusher.Belon has a thing for older women and falls for single mother Salmah (Sheila Mambo). Meanwhile, Joe takes a fancy to Salmah's daughter Yati (Yatt).

Movie Reviews :
Upon watching "Kecoh Betul" directed by S. Baldev Singh, it seems that his movie is very similar to Aminah Rhapor's "Lu Pikirlah Sendiri de Movie" (LPSdM). It carries the same main actor in the form of Nabil and also elements of 'rempit'. Being an 'ex-rempit' himself, director Baldev naturally slotted in that component.

It tells the story of three best buddies - Aiman (Nabil), Joe (Bell Ngasri) and Belon (Shah R.), who works as fast food delivery boys in the city. Problems crop up as they failed to settle the debts they owed loan sharks, resulting in the kidnapping of Aiman's girlfriend Diana (Diana Danielle).

As like "LPSdM", "Kecoh Betul" drags too much to a point where audiences are bound to feel uncomfortable with the jokes and gags that aren't hilarious at all. Moreover, there were several pointless plots in the story where this reviewer believes that the director might be too overconfident in his plot lines.

Frankly, lining up big stars in a movie doesn't prove box office success. It's undeniable that Nabil, Diana Danielle and Saiful Apek will surely attract their fans to the cinema, but unfortunately the actors didn't really shine through this time. Nabil's performance was as monotonous as in "LPSdM" and Diana's acting was equally stiff and disappointing. However, Saiful Apek's mobster boss portrayal and Bell Ngasri's stuttering character was entertaining. Besides that, famous reporter Karam Singh Walia makes a cameo appearance as the owner of the house where the three friends are staying.

Overall, "Kecoh Betul" comes off as dull since elements of 'rempit' and comedy are weaved in our local films too often.

Synopsis

Lagenda Budak Setan (Malay)Kasyah (Farid Kamil) is a troublemaker in high school but things change when he meets Ayu (Lisa Surihani) and she accepts him. However, Kasyah has to go to a village to complete his thesis which forces him to part with Ayu. She then meets her ex-lover Azmi (Que Haidar) who pursues her.

"Lagenda Budak Setan" (LBS) has been reprinted several times since the 1980s making it a best seller of all time. Ahadiat Akashah's novel has been adapted into a tragic love film. The film revolves around Kasyah (Farid Kamil) known as 'Budak Setan' among his university classmates because he is badly behaved. All this changed when Kasyah meets a beautiful girl named Ayu (Lisa Surihani). Their relationship started to evolve when Kasyah decided to conduct some research in a rural village. After he left, Ayu was forced into marriage with her ex boyfriend Azmi (Que Haidar), a womaniser and drunkard.

The storyline is easily understandable even for those who have yet to read the novel, however Kasyah and Ayu's display of affection may seem irritating to some of the audience. There are various elements inserted as well such as love, sorrow, comedy and a hint of action. The writer failed to move the audience with the love story between Kasyah and Ayu in the beginning. Nevertheless, when Azmi appeared, things started to pick up. Not because we like Que, but because it was a sign that the story is heating up.

Even though Que is the supporting actor, his performance definitely stands out with his hot tempered and abusive behaviour. One of the scenes that would be etched in the minds of the audiences is when Ayu was badly beaten by Azmi. Before this, Lisa was constantly being criticised for being 'stiff', now we can see her facial expressions portrayed well during this exceptionally emotional scene. That particular moment has definitely brought Lisa to another level in the film industry.

On the other hand, Farid's acting did not disappoint and it was heart-rending to see him go through misfortunes. Newcomer Shiqin Kamal still has a lot of room for improvement especially his facial expressions that sometimes didn't quite hit the spot. Meanwhile, Fazura is on board in this epic love story playing the role of Katerina (the title name for Ahadiat Akashah's second novel).

Director Sharad Sharan ("Diva", "Tipu Kanan Tipu Kiri") uses Indonesia's Windra Beyamin and Gio's composition in the film. The song "Bila Cinta" is played several times, yet still sounds fresh every time and complements the emotional scenes well.

In the reviewer's opinion, Malaysia should be proud with the production of "LBS". With solid performances and a clear-cut storyline, "LBS" should be well received in the cinemas especially by the fans of the novel that has been anticipating the release of the film. Synopsis :

"Edge Of The Empire" is based on a 1973 novel by Sanya Pholprasit. Set in southern Mongolia over 1,000 years ago, a small tribe called Tai was a colony under the power of the Great Han who enslaved them. Oppressed by the Han, the Tai unites to strike back for their freedom, justice, and country. This Thai historical epic revolves around heroes who sacrificed themselves to fight against the invasion of intruders and sought for the freedom of the country.

WiseKwai’s got a trailer for Nirattisai Kaljareuk’s upcoming epic action movie “Edge of the Empire”, which comes complete with English subtitles for your reading pleasure. The film itself, apparently four years in the making, looks like something the Chinese have been cranking out in recent years — a full-blown big-budget historical epic action movie, complete with massive battle scenes, extensive wireworks, and plenty of CGI toys to work with. The only thing it’s missing is Donnie Yen and Andy Lau. Or Vicki Zhao.



More than three years in production, the historical epic Kon Thai Ting Pandin is intended to herald the return to live-action feature films by Kantana, a studio better known for its television dramas, the computer-animated Khan Kluay cartoon franchise and state-of-the-art facilities for film post-production and processing.

After initial photography, 95 per cent of which took place at Kantana Movie Town in Nakhon Pathom, years were spent painstakingly sweetening the film with computer-graphic effects, such as swarms of beautiful, lifelike butterflies, spurting blood and skies that rain arrows. Suburban Bangkok is transformed with digital backdrops into the mountainous southern China of more than 1,200 years ago.

The effects are stunning, and the high production values are apparent, but the movie’s grand ambitions are let down by the over-the-top performances of a cast that’s better suited to small-screen soap operas.

Set in 757, Kon Thai Ting Pandin (คนไท ทิ้งแผ่นดิน, The Edge of the Empire) delves into the legendary ancestors of Thais, the Tai people of southern China. Red shirts, yellow shirts and disunity among Thais are not a new phenomenon, we discover. Since the dawn of time, it seems, Thai people have been divided.

As the story goes, the Qin Dynasty is expanding its Han empire, forcing other races into subservience. In the initial push, six Tai tribes – the Ler, Chiangsair, Khanu, Yuro, Dtai and Thanai – were scattered to the wind. Twenty years have passed, and a new generation has arisen, proud of its ethnic roots and chafing under Han rule.

While some Han overlords are content to give the Tai people a degree of autonomy and even respect, most would rather rule with an iron fist.

Litongjia, the new administrator in Ler City, is of the latter category. He’s unhappy with the way things have been handled in the past. He imposes harsh new taxes, demands that his subjects bow to his imperious concubine-wife and orders that all weapons, even kitchen knives, be confiscated, melted down and used to make a giant cauldron to be placed in the city square. That cauldron will be filled with boiling water – and anyone who disobeys him.

Plot :
